Counseling is collaborative, meaningful, and relationship-changing work. I specialize in couples counseling, helping partners slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and reconnect in ways that feel safer and more secure. I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where both partners can feel heard and respected, even when things feel stuck. In addition to couples work, I support preteens, teens, and adults with concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and parenting. I also enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients and those navigating the difficulties of religious trauma.
I work from an attachment and family systems perspective, using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method interventions with couples, and attachment-based, evidence-based approaches with individuals. Across all my work, we’ll explore patterns and cycles, increase self-awareness, and develop practical skills that support emotional safety.
Life and relationships can feel overwhelming, especially when you don’t feel understood by the people closest to you. My hope is that our counseling space feels safe enough for honesty, vulnerability, and growth. If you’re feeling unsure about starting, that’s okay. I’m happy to connect by phone to see if working together feels like a good fit.
At Persimmon, we like to start with a 15 minute phone call. It's a chance to learn a bit more about you and answer any questions you may have. Drop a line right here or contact me via phone or email to get started. Looking forward to hearing from you!
